Mens Pennants as at 19th July 2015
Tugun is off to a flying start in the Mens Pennants which started on 11th July. After two rounds all five teams have won at least one match with the First Division and the Fourth Division sides unbeaten.
The First Division had a strong away win 67 to 54 over South Tweed Heads winning on all three rinks. Matt Norris had a one shot win over Kelvin Kerkow after winning six shots on one end to overcome a five shot deficit. Current Australian team member Barrie Lester lost to Paul Watson’s team giving Paul an unbeaten start to the season.
The Fourth Division had a solid 24 shot victory at home against Robina to be high on the ladder. The win was underpinned by a strong 28-9 win by Ivan David-Rewiri’s team who lost the first three ends before they got on the board.
The Fifth Division lost away having had a solid win in the first round while the Sixth and Seventh Divisions both had solid wins to take them off the bottom of the ladder after the first round..
